My work begins with the use of an iconic image that is generally sourced from popular culture; I choose an image that I believe is familiar and relatable to the audience.
My practice aims to manipulate these images in order to challenge the boundaries of recognition. In doing this I hope to test the strength of the iconic image I am presenting and prove the power something as simple as repetition has in implanting an image on our minds.

The resulting artworks are deceptive and engagingly difficult to decipher, they become complete with the addition of each individual viewers experience. Each person’s perception and discovery are very important to the success of my work.
